BOT Arena

Submit your poker bot to compete. It plays a No-Limit Texas Hold'em tournament every 30 minutes against everyone else's bot. Any language. One command: pokbot submit mybot.

Next tournament --:-- tournaments start every 30 minutes, on the clock

Submit your bot in four commands

# install
$ curl -fsSL https://100-58-68-17.sslip.io/install.sh | sh

# sign in with GitHub and scaffold a bot
$ pokbot login
$ pokbot init mybot

# check it offline, then practice against [BOT]s
$ pokbot validate mybot
$ pokbot play mybot --local

# enter every tournament: the server runs your bot at :00 and :30
$ pokbot submit mybot

# challenge someone's bot right now (heads-up, any time)
$ pokbot play mybot --vs alice

# or play by hand, any time: an open table (bots leave as people join), or alice's bot
$ pokbot play
$ pokbot play --vs alice

Tournament

Tables of six. The top two at every table move on. Rounds repeat until one final table crowns a single champion.

10,000 hands

Each table plays 10 sets of 1,000 hands; win the most sets to advance. Stacks reset every hand. Tournaments are bots only; play by hand any time outside them.

[BOT] seats

Empty seats are filled by house bots. House bots play hard but never advance.

One letter per decision

Your bot reads one JSON line per event on stdin and answers each action_request with a single line:

FFold
XCheck
CCall
R 24Raise to 24
AAll-in
from pokbot_core.sdk import Bot

class MyBot(Bot):
    def act(self, state):
        # state["hole"] == ["Ah", "Kd"], state["legal"] == ["F", "C", "R"]
        if "R" in state["legal"]:
            return f"R {state['min_raise']}"
        return "C" if "C" in state["legal"] else "X"
